Robert Denton O'Donnell, May 12, 1923 - September 21, 2017 age 94, went to be with his Lord on September 21, 2017. Bob was born in Kenosha Wisconsin on May 12, 1923 along with his twin William to William and Mamie (Denton) O'Donnell. Bob served with valor in the Pacific during WWII. He attended school in Madison at West High and at the University of Wisconsin. He had two years completed before going off to war for three years, then returned to finish his degree in chemical engineering.

Bob spent nine years with Continental Can, then joined Libby as head of its Can Division. When he left there in 1968 to join Reynolds Metals Company he had the top managerial responsibilities in the area of farming, food processing and can manufacturing.

He spent the rest of his career at Reynolds as the Vice President of the Can Division. In 1975, the Government gave can companies a year to develop a can top that would stay on the can. A highlight of his career was beating all the other companies and developing the Stay-on-Tab.

Bob will be missed by Judy, his wife of 34 years and his four children, Margaret (Kurt Bauman), Timothy (Michelle), Chris (Robin), and Lisa. He was very proud of his eleven grandchildren and delighted in his four great grands.

Bob loved the game of golf and played it as he lived and worked, fast and with relish. A service will be held at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord on Tuesday, October 3rd, at 10:00am.
