Hollace Ann "Holly" Myer died August 4, 2017. A native of Charleston, WV, she was born in 1938 to Catherine A. and George M. Grishaber. Holly attended Cardome Visitation Academy in Georgetown, KY and later graduated from Charleston Catholic High School. She was an alumni of West Virginia University. Holly married Richard M. Myer in 1958 while still at WVU.
While a resident of Kentucky, Holly was involved in Civic Affairs. She volunteered in many areas in the communities where her family resided. Notably, she became a leader in the Kentucky Democratic Party. Holly often...

Hollace Ann "Holly" Myer died August 4, 2017. A native of Charleston, WV, she was born in 1938 to Catherine A. and George M. Grishaber. Holly attended Cardome Visitation Academy in Georgetown, KY and later graduated from Charleston Catholic High School. She was an alumni of West Virginia University. Holly married Richard M. Myer in 1958 while still at WVU.
While a resident of Kentucky, Holly was involved in Civic Affairs. She volunteered in many areas in the communities where her family resided. Notably, she became a leader in the Kentucky Democratic Party. Holly often said that her most important achievement was their four children. After moving to Florida, Holly became a well-known Realtor in Fort Myers for 23 years. After retirement she and her husband enjoyed traveling and cruising. She was a member of Saint Cecilia's Catholic Community.
Holly is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard M. Myer; daughters, Deborah L. Martin (Jerry) of Cape Coral and Jennifer L. Authement DVM (Wyatt DVM) of St. Petersburg; sons, CDR (Ret) Richard M. Myer, Jr (Amy) of Yorktown, VA and Eric M. Myer (Celia) of LaBelle, FL; grandchildren, Nicholas (Lauren), Richard C., Gregory, Matthew (Miranda) and Megan; step grandchildren, Nicole and Tony Dinse; great grandson, Nicholas Jr.; great granddaughter, Mila.
Memorial Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 19, 2017, at St. Cecilia's Catholic Community, 6532 Sunrise Dr. Fort Myers, FL 33919. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Cecilia's.
