Cornelius "Neil" Schoonderwoerd, 79, of Ft. Myers, FL unexpectedly passed away. Neil is survived by his loving wife Cheryl of 33 yrs. Neil is predeceased by his daughter Debra and 1st wife Charlotte. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Michele Seitz, Kelly (Jerry) Myers, grandchildren Tiffany (Kirby) Byrnes, Justin (Erin) Myers, Chris Myers, Desirae Myers, Charlotte Schoonderwoerd and Kiana Myers, 9 great-grandchildren, sister, Diann, nephews. Neil has many friends including best friends Bill and Ethel Bishop of 65 years. At 19, Neil began his career with the Florida Highway Patrol of 10 years,...

Cornelius "Neil" Schoonderwoerd, 79, of Ft. Myers, FL unexpectedly passed away. Neil is survived by his loving wife Cheryl of 33 yrs. Neil is predeceased by his daughter Debra and 1st wife Charlotte. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Michele Seitz, Kelly (Jerry) Myers, grandchildren Tiffany (Kirby) Byrnes, Justin (Erin) Myers, Chris Myers, Desirae Myers, Charlotte Schoonderwoerd and Kiana Myers, 9 great-grandchildren, sister, Diann, nephews. Neil has many friends including best friends Bill and Ethel Bishop of 65 years. At 19, Neil began his career with the Florida Highway Patrol of 10 years, went into real estate with Rutenberg Homes and Bill Axelrod & Co., he then returned to Law Enforcement for Lee County Sheriff's Office. Neil had a passion for all guns, skeet & trap shooting, boating and Vaca's with his soul mate Cheryl. We will miss Neil's humor, wit, jokes and love. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm June 24th at Brandywine Clubhouse, 1398 S. Brandywine Cir., Ft. Myers, FL.
